Every one install programs to computer; it can be games, applications, or simple Windows-based programs that are meant to work. But sometimes errors occur preceding to the installation in the form of a dialog box that tells to terminate the program.
These problems are caused of missing or damaged files such as Config.nt, Autoexec.nt, and Command.com. These are the files responsible to the installation of the supposed programs. Therefore, these must be filled-in or repaired for us to be able to proceed with the installation.

The first one involves replacing the files using a notepad file.

First Method

d) After doing so, now start or install the program.

e) Open the notepad and type in these:

device=%SYSTEMROOT%system32\himem.sys

f) Click on File from top menu, click Save As and change the file name to Config.nt. and then Save the file.
g) Again Click on File and select New. A blank document will be displayed, and then type in these:

lh %SYSTEMROOT%\system32\mscdexnt.exe
lh %SYSTEMROOT%\system32\redir
lh %SYSTEMROOT%\system32\dosx
SET BLASTER=A220 I5 D1 P330 T3
h) Click on File, and select Save As, and then change the file name to Autoexec.nt. Save the file.
i) Open Windows Explorer. Get the location to saved Config.nt file and copy it. Search for the %SYSTEMROOT%\System32 folder, right-click it, and then select paste.
j) Do the same process with the Autoexec.nt file.
k) Find the Command.com file, right-click on the extended Command.com file, and then click/select Copy.
l) Right-click the %SYSTEMROOT%\System32 folder, and click Paste.
m) Restart it.
After doing these steps and the problem still occurs, copy the Autoexec.nt as well as the Config.nt files from the Repair folder in Windows to the System folder. These steps will help to do it:
2. Copy Autoexec.nt, file
3. Click Start, click Run, type c:\windows\system32, and click OK.
4. Paste (Ctrl+V) the copied file in the particular folder.
5. Right-click the Autoexec.nt file that is just copied, and select Properties.
6. Select/Click the Read-Only check-box, and then click OK. This would prevent any further harm in the files.
7. Follow the above steps and this time with Config.nt file.
Second Method
1. Click Start, select Run, and type C:\windows\repair, and then click OK.
2. Copy the Autoexec.nt file in folder.
3. Click Start, click Run, type %windir%\system32, and click OK.
4. In the folder that houses all components of System32, press Ctrl + V so that it can paste the file of the Autoexec.nt system in this certain folder.
